Olba is a good base-camp for the various climbing crags in the Alto Mijares valley. The village and its barrios offer some hostels a well-sorted village shop and some bars as well. ©

Fonseca 26 4 16m ø /2.5m ø

The short approach and the opportunity for playing and bathing make this beautiful climbing spot at the riverbank of Rio Mijares an ideal destination for a family trip. This spot is used as a training ground by the local Guardia Civil. Fonseca is divided into three sectors, located on both sides of the river. Riversides are connected by a bridge. A traverse with clamps leads to the sector el lado oscuro. ©

Casucho 129 318 18m ø /2.4m ø

Above the Casucho homestead the homonymous climbing area offers a good view on the junction of the rivers Mijares and Palomarejas. The stretched cliff is separated into multiple small sectors. The so called "detached rocks" (some pinnacles) and a nice rock-alley are the highlights of the spot.
The common Casucho pitch is steep pocket pulling up to 30m. ©

We are open! Last week, the week of Easter, it finally happened – the first guests stayed overnight in their buses. The place was packed, the mood was good, the locals want to come back soon. Climbers from further away, like Madrid and the Basque region, will we meet again on the next bridging day? The locally brewed

Try our sunset! Come and stay with us – in the centre of the climbing area! If you have your own autocaravan or bus to sleep in, then this is now possible. We look forward to meeting you!

Fight dumped waste On 2nd April, lots of waste, that had been dumped, was collected in Sector Tubo by volunteers from the “MijaresVivo” and “Escalada Sostenible Alto Mijares” initiatives. Many Thanks!   More about this annual campaign in spanish language

Who we are We are five friends, born in Berlin, Germany, who fell in love with the Alto Mijares region. Nicky and Anika’s holiday in Montanejos 2008 can be called the ignition spark for what followed. In 2009, Mirko and Marie had intended to do a looong trip around Europe but after only three months they found Olba
